Finally! some good news
Sprint has had a bad year so far, and it began with the change from Wimax to LTE. Even though it was inevitable that the company would eventually have to change technologies, it was hard to hear that they had to change so soon after dumping money into the launch. The shareholders disagreed with the decision and went as far as to try and knock Dan Hesse from CEO, but ultimately the board decided against it. After the Sprint "big wigs" assured their stock holders that everything will be fine and that LTE is the future, Sprint began their LTE strategy. One part of that strategy was to repurpose their 800mhz spectrum they use for Nextel iDen and use it for CDMA LTE, and this is where the good news comes in. The FCC has approved Sprint in doing so and is a giant step forward to the national launch of Sprint LTE, we should be seeing LTE soon!

Sprint's HD Voice
One saving factor to the atrocious device announcement of the HTC EVO 4G LTE is the inclusion of HD Voice. The service isnt enabled quite yet, but they are comparing it with the jump from standard TV to HD TV... So, we will have to see, or hear for that matter, in the coming months. Hooray!
HTC EVO 4G LTE
And there you have it, in all its glory...As soon as the leaked images were ...leaked I was worried, and they didnt disappoint... I dont know what they were thinking with the back, it looks terrible. This is not a One X variant, it's an EVO with similar specs.
- Unibody aluminum body construction
- 4G LTE
- Super AMOLED 2 LCD screen (1280x720)
- HD voice calling
- dedicated camera button (thumbs up on that one)
- ...spring loaded kickstand

Reminder: Sprint/HTC event
Oh yeah, there is a Sprint and HTC event tomorrow and it is probably going to be the biggest announcement since the HTC Evo 4g. So, yeah I would say its a big deal. It is rumored that they will announce the Sprint version of the HTC One X (Evo One?), which will be pretty sweet. Disappointingly, the design looks drastically changed from the One X that was announced at MWC 2012...So we will see, in due time. Event begins at 5:30 ET; 2:30 PT APR 4th.
