Finally! some good news
Sprint has had a bad year so far, and it began with the change from Wimax to LTE. Even though it was inevitable that the company would eventually have to change technologies, it was hard to hear that they had to change so soon after dumping money into the launch. The shareholders disagreed with the decision and went as far as to try and knock Dan Hesse from CEO, but ultimately the board decided against it. After the Sprint "big wigs" assured their stock holders that everything will be fine and that LTE is the future, Sprint began their LTE strategy. One part of that strategy was to repurpose their 800mhz spectrum they use for Nextel iDen and use it for CDMA LTE, and this is where the good news comes in. The FCC has approved Sprint in doing so and is a giant step forward to the national launch of Sprint LTE, we should be seeing LTE soon!
